All the best with your move. Summer kitchens is one of my favourite books. I love Olia’s food philosophy!

Best of luck with the move! We have so many places we love to eat and drink in Cleveland and Pittsburgh - Youngstown is such a good home base for exploring both of them.

Thank you so much, Amy! I would love to hear any of your recommendations, I am just starting to make a list of places I want to visit. Apteka in Pittsburgh is high on the list. I also want to try Larder Delicatessen & Bakery in Cleveland. Need to make a separate list of bakeries I want to visit.

Larder is great! Cordelia is doing fantastic takes on Midwestern food (https://americanweekender.substack.com/p/cordelia-cleveland-ohio-best-restaurants). Cents for pizza, and Abundance and LJ Shanghai for Chinese food. Also covered a bunch of good bars here (https://americanweekender.substack.com/p/bar-crawl-cleveland-ohio).

In Pittsburgh, Pusadee’s Kitchen for Thai is superb. Also big fan of Driftwood Oven and Morcilla.

Thank you so much, Amy! I’m going to be reading and referencing your posts a lot as I make my new google map 🗺️ I really appreciate you sharing some of your favorite places. I love pizza and Chinese food so much, there’s a Szechuan place here locally that I’m really gonna miss and a northern style Chinese food truck, I’m always on the look out for regional Chinese food. Love Thai food! Adding all these places right now.

Thank you! That would be so fun! I can’t wait to visit Cleveland, haven’t been since I saw Explosions in the Sky there back in ‘06 or ‘07. I’m super excited about finding as much good food as I can here.
