My mom makes these into individual cookies ("kholmiki") and uses a meat grinder to make the cookie strips. Truly one of my favorites from her repertoire. Thank you for sharing!

Yes, I love all the variations. I really wish I had an old school or new school lol meat grinder it is on my wishlist. In my family we made chak chak which is closely related and can also be made into small cookies or a large cake.

I love the Anthill cake and was so glad to see you post about it. My top three favorites are Honey Cake, Napoleon, and Anthill. Might have to attempt the Anthill for myself.
